2. Information we collect

We collect the following personal information to provide and improve our service:

• Account information: name, username, email address, and profile photo.
• Trip content: destinations, activities, accommodations, and collaborators you add to your trips.
• Uploaded documents: travel documents such as passports or tickets that you voluntarily upload.
• Billing information: handled entirely by our payment partner. Trivel never stores card details.

We process your data on the following legal bases: to perform the contract you entered into with us, on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and reliable, and with your consent for optional analytics.

3. How long we keep your data

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is permanently removed. Any soft-deleted records are fully purged within 90 days.

You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings.

4. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erasure — delete your account and all associated data.
• Portability — export your data in a machine-readable format.

5. Service providers

We work with trusted third-party service providers to operate and improve Trivel. These partners process data only as instructed by us and under appropriate data processing agreements.

• Cloud infrastructure — Our platform is hosted on a cloud provider that manages data storage, authentication, and file uploads.
• Payment processing — Subscription billing and payment transactions are handled by a dedicated payment partner. Trivel never stores your payment card details.
• Location services — Interactive maps and location search are powered by a third-party mapping provider. Search queries may be transmitted to display accurate results.
• Application monitoring — We use an error-tracking service to identify and resolve technical issues that may affect your experience. Personal identifiers are not transmitted.
• Usage analytics — We measure how the service is used to guide product improvements. This is only activated with your explicit consent and can be withdrawn at any time.

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. We also offer optional analytics cookies that help us understand how people use the app. These are only placed with your explicit consent, which you can manage or withdraw at any time through the cookie banner.
